I am Johnny and during my career I have worked in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, I served as the Transit Amenities and Facilities Manager for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) in Jacksonville, Florida. I was responsible for the maintenance of all JTA facilities and grounds, which was comprised of approximately 270,000 SF of building space at 22 separate facilities. I also managed the maintenance, cleaning, and sanitizing of 2,600 transit stops, hubs, and Park-N-Rides in the greater Jacksonville area. ​

I led the team in all Regulatory Compliance matters including Storage Tank (AST & UST) Certifications, Vertical Transportation Certifications, fire suppression, Hazmat, SWPPP, SPCC, Remediation, IAQ Monitoring, Solid Waste & Recycling, as well as maintenance services in each of these areas. I also served as Project Manager for over $15M worth of projects, which included facility upgrades, remodeling, and equipment upgrades and replacements.

I, as you, had to quickly adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic and changing culture while we opened a new $65M Administration and Operations Facility in February 2020. New air purification devices, touchless door openers, hospital grade cleaning/sanitizing services, social distancing helps are just some of the measures that we implemented for our employees and customers while continuing 24/7 service.  But this is what we do as Facility Professionals, isn’t it? We are the quick reaction team, and we deliver! We strategize and plan, but we also adapt, ‘bob & weave,’ and ultimately overcome.

In my career I have served as Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and/or Subject Matter Expert on more than $90M in projects.
